EQ is everything nowadays. So B. Gates selects people in his company with the prevailing criterion specified above. So, what is it? And why do we need empathy in this world, and especially in the Russian Federation, if we are talking about EQ. After all, for many people, EQ is aggression, manipulation and, as a result, problems with the law. And then a life derailed.
EQ (Emotional Quotient) is the ability to recognize emotions, intentions, motivation, desires of oneself and other people and manage it. Emotional empathy is the ability to show empathy, as well as the ability to see the problems of the interlocutor and their benefits in solving these problems. So some newly minted specialists will be able to realize their specialty, while others will go to build an expensive one. They may have an IQ above 140, a red diploma, but with a low EQ they will not be able to realize themselves.
A simple example. Mutual assistance in the enterprise. So, for example, in a warehouse in one online store, when there were no free computers, and there were a lot of orders, good colleagues carried out commodity units through my computer. As a result, they managed to close the order and get their points, and I received some of these points (while I exceeded the norm without that). But thanks to them, I was in fourth and even third place among the fastest SPPs. Nevertheless, in general, everyone made bonuses in addition to salary, and someone even received encouragement in excess of the bonus. But emotional empathy does not always find reciprocity in this cynical world.
