Шинэ (санскр. шаматха, тиб. zhi gnas): покой ума, пребывание в покое. Медитация на действительный, воображаемый или абстрактный объект. Упражнение заключается в том, чтобы приучить ум покоиться однонаправленно и без отвлечений. Шинэ в Сутре и Тантре является основой узнавания истинной природы ума.
Шравака (санскр., тиб. nyan thos, букв. «слушатель»): эпитет монаха, практикующего Хинаяну в общине.
