Alan and Maurice are speaking about their hometowns. Alan comes from a very small town in America called Ashland. It has five hundred people and it is very boring. Maurice comes from one of the most exciting cities in the world – Paris. There are hundreds of bars and cafes and many festivals there. But Maurice says that there is one bad thing about Paris. There are a lot of tourists there, especially American tourists.

Andy: Oh, I know where you’re talking about. Do you like that neighbourhood?

Andrew: Yes, I do. There are a lot of nice things about that neighbourhood.

Andy: I can’t think of any.

Andrew: There is a very good Italian restaurant in Sixth Street.

Andy: That restaurant closed last week.

Andrew: Well, there is a big park next to the railway station.

Andy: Bob says there are many criminals in that park.

Andrew: Well, it is more quiet than where I live now.

Andy: The city will build a new highway near the railway station next year.

Andrew: Well, it’s cheap.

Andy: How much is your rent?

Andrew: One hundred dollars a month.

Andy: That is a nice neighbourhood!
