But now the other chariots were bearing down on him (но теперь остальные колесницы окружали его) through the tumbling shadows (/проходя/ через = появляясь из пляшущих теней; to tumble — падать; кувыркаться, показывать акробатические номера) cast by the roaring fires that ate at Castle Erorn (отбрасываемых ревущим пламенем, что пожирало замок Эрорн; to cast — бросать, кидать; отбрасывать /тень/; to eat-ate-eaten).

They were led by one whom Corum recognised (ими командовал: «они были управляемы» человек, которого Корум узнал; to lead — вести; руководить, командовать). He was laughing and yelling (он смеялся и кричал) and whirling his huge war-axe about his head (и вертел свой огромный боевой топор над головой; to whirl — вертеть/ся/, двигаться по круга).

It was Glandyth-a-Krae (это был Гландит-а-Краэ), his grey eyes gleaming (его серые глаза сверкали; to gleam — светиться; мерцать), his cruel mouth snarling back over yellow fangs (его жестокие губы рычали над желтыми клыками = скривились в жестокой ухмылке; cruel — жестокий, безжалостный; свирепый; mouth — рот, уста; to snarl — рычать, огрызаться).

Corum flung his spear (Корум метнул копье; to fling — кидать, бросать, швырять).

The whirling axe knocked it aside (вертевшийся топор отбил его в сторону; to knock — ударять/ся/, стучать/ся/, сбивать) and Glandyth's chariot did not falter (и колесница Гландита /даже/ не пошатнулась; to falter — запинаться, шататься; колебаться).

He was breathing harshly now and staggered (теперь он дышал порывисто и шатался; harshly — резко, порывисто; жестоко).
